Aunty Maria Artis, a member of #AhahuiKaahumanu since 1948 was beyond thrilled to ride as a Grand Marshal this morning. I could feel her pride as I held her hand before the Parade.
Uncle Roland Ahuna, who just passed away on June 4th, 😢 told me this was one of the greatest honors of his long 94-year life. He joined the #RoyalOrderOfKamehameha in 1946. I miss that man!! Grateful his grandson and great-grandson rode in his memory.
